History
Regal Beloit, founded in 1955, manufactured cutting tools and gear boxes throughout its first twenty-five year history. Sales in 1979 were $38 million when Henry Knueppel and Jim Packard joined the company and initiated a strategic acquisition program to expand the business.
During the last twenty-five years, twenty-eight acquisitions were done. This expanded product line reflects that Regal Beloit products are "At the Heart of What Drives Your World", alluding to the fact that most of our products are necessary - not optional - to the function of the equipment powering our world.

Regal Beloit, originally named Beloit Tool, started manufacturing cutting tools in a roller rink in Beloit, Wisconsin in 1955.
The company was still known as Beloit Tool Corporation when it moved to a new plant on Rockton Road near South Beloit, Illinois in 1961, it was renamed in 1969.
The corporate headquarters was relocated to downtown Beloit, Wisconsin in 1991.
